It's been over a week since the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau was OKed, but nobody's be tapped to head it up yet. Seems like a long time, given that the Bureau was fait accompli for quite some time.

Could it be that while Obama and that crowd want to appoint someone from Goldman Sachs, he's finally realized that November will be a bloodbath unless he stops mooning "those on the left" and appoints someone who'll actually live up to the bureau's name? Perhaps the delay is because he's trying to figure out some plan that pretends to give Elizabeth Warren some power while really putting Larry & Timmy in charge?
