New New Jersey Poll: Obama in pretty good shape in state
Monmouth University / Gannett
7/7-11/10; 801 adults, 3.5% margin of error
Mode: Live telephone interviews
(Monmouth release)

New Jersey

Job Approval / Disapproval
Pres. Obama: 52 / 42 (chart)
Sen. Lautenberg: 46 / 31 (chart)
Sen. Menendez: 37 /31 (chart)

Senator Menendez is up for re-election in 2012. However, some groups are trying to hold a special recall election to ask voters whether they want to remove Senator
Menendez from office immediately. Do you think holding a recall election of Senator
Menendez before his term is up would be a good thing or bad thing for New Jersey?
24% Good thing, 53% Bad thing

1. Who are these "some groups" who want to recall Menendez?
The article didn't explain, but I'm assuming they are repukes/teabaggers/anti-immigration "groups"?

2. Menendez is chair of the DSCC, therefore he must go
He is actually trying to get Democrats elected to the US Senate. The fucking nerve.

3. Thanks.
Makes sense, but it should have been more specific.

4. Your assumption is correct
In addition, they are appealing for this chance to recall him even though there is no scandal or reason that he could be labeled as unfit to stay in office. Their claim is simply that "the people" have changed their minds and (per the lunatics) he doe not represent NJ's "true" values. This is going nowhere. (I don't think it has anything to do with Menendez heading the DSCC.)
