4. I thought her admiration and adoration of Obama was endearing. I'm sad that

things are such that she felt she had to leave. I miss the early days of hope and the giddy prospect of change. Her photos essays were lovely.

5. Taken her threads where folks actually remember the years in hell that preceded

where we are now, and aren't judging a President on just 1/2 a term or less.

She is sharing her optimism with Folks who are also in it to lift up instead of to tear down,
and who realize the impact that this large difference in approach can have on the voting populace.

She is where Democrats actually want to win, instead of wanting to teach lessons, point fingers,
and just be dogmatically righteous on every single issue.

Gone where folks don't wake up every morning trying to find a way to demean, belittle, underestimate, underrate, and undercut this administration and the party in general.

Has left this place where if you're not prepared to go in fighting against those that say
they are your own, you may get depressed and demoralized.

She's gone to a place that used to be what DU represented, until it stopped.

I'll say "Not bad"....considering that it is hard to pass any policy that is more progressive than the most conservative Democrat in a Senate that needs 60 votes on just about everything.

Considering that he hasn't gotten STILL a lot of his nominees through, after 18 months.
Considering that the party of NO has basically said no to the big things.
Considering that the media is a right wing media more than less.
Considering that Many Liberals have been dogging him out since inauguration day...

He's done not too badly.

I've been critical of some aspects of Obama's presidency, but I've always rec'd and enjoyed Jackeens' photo threads. Her leaving DU is a great loss to this community. :(

19. Shireen, that was very nice of you to say that. Jackeens is from

Ireland and for somebody of her calibre to like President Obama is a testimony of how much the world likes him. Some on here insulted her and she left, it was my loss and another few who liked her!

If anybody say anything nice of President Obama on here, they are ridiculed and eventually leave especially if one is not from the US.
