Edited on Wed Jul-07-10 02:44 PM by jenmito
on "The Place For Politics," MSNBC. Obama gave a speech today and MSNBC didn't even cover it. They even cover Sarah Palin, NOT a politician anymore, more than both Obama and the WINNING VP, Joe Biden.

5. MSNBC is mostly garbage during the day, except for
Tamaron Hall. It's hard to believe the same network that has Rachel in Afghanistan at night has such fluff and rightwing talking points all day. It's like two different networks.

7. My favorite was David Shuster...
and I loved when he and Tamron Hall were on at the same time. I like Tamron, too, but do NOT like the others from morning to evening.

8. I miss Shuster too...I don't think MSNBC realizes what a loss it
is that he's gone. The network seems to be getting more and more biased to the right during the day and I'm watching less and less.

It was great to have Cenk for the last few days and I'm looking forward to Lawrence O'Donnell's new show, but I've pretty much given up on MSNBC before 6 pm.

9. He got fired for a reason...
it was discovered by MSNBC that he made an audition tape for CNN. Too bad-he's not at CNN, either. I bet he was way too LW for them.

11. Yeah, I knew about the CNN audition, but I was hoping MSNBC
just suspended him for a while and that he'd be back. And since Spitzer got the new 8 pm CNN show, I guess Shuster is out for now (although there may be other time slots he could fill.) He was one of my favorites, he took no BS from anyone.

Iranian Woman Faces Stoning for Adultery

Mother of two could be put to death as soon as this weekend.

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, a 43-year-old mother of two, convicted of adultery in Iran, may be stoned to death unless a last-minute campaign saves her.

Human-rights campaigners say that Ashtiani, who says she was under duress when she confessed to adultery, could be buried up to her breasts and stoned to death as soon as this weekend.

Ashtiani has been in prison since May 2006, when she was convicted of adultery and sentenced to 99 lashes. Later that year she was accused of murdering her husband. Those charges were dropped, but an inquiry into the adultery charge was reopened. She was, according to The Guardian, sentenced to death under a rule that allows judges to cite "judge's knowledge" and convict without evidence.

13. HEY! I thought MSNBC was THE PLACE for politics as well.
I am so sick and tired of TV newsertainment.

When they DO talk about politics -- even then it is disingenuous at best -- pure lies at worst.

I rarely watch TV anymore because of this garbage.
