Like the president is about to pick him up and squeeze the "talk" button. That is so cute. I, too, love little boys dressed up in suits, antiquated as it is. I was lucky that my son was absolutely fine with being put into a little navy blazer a few times a year. I still treasure a picture we have of him from about the age of 3 or 4, dressed up with suspenders (to keep the pants up) and a red bow tie for a holiday party.

this photo, but mostly thanks for linking that article. I read it and the preceding article (the one that got them the invite) with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes.

That little boy in the photo has his whole life ahead of him, and now due to being inspired by the President so does William Butler, the 22 year old in the article.

13. That's got to be one of the greatest photos of all time.

The look on that little boy's face says everything symbolic about why Obama has changed the course of our world. The Audacity of Hope.

Say what you will about his politics, but Obama's election, in my humble opinion, is why crime is down across the United States to 1964 levels. He's changed what our African American brothers & sisters see when they look out into the world. Hope. Self respect. Dignity.

It's about damn time.
