Al Franken: Seat Scott Brown now, it wasn't even close
Republican Scott Brown ended a political dynasty on Tuesday, winning "the Kennedy seat" in the U.S. Senate, and winning it easily. Now, as Democrats lick their wounds, and the fate of the Obama administration's entire agenda takes an ominous turn, Sen. Al Franken says it's time to move on.

"This is a substantial enough victory that he should be seated as soon as legally possible," Franken told Minnesota Public Radio. "He won by 100,000 votes, which was about 100,000 more votes than I won by."

Marc Elias, who led Franken's legal team in a bitter, bruising and ultimately victorious recount battle against incumbent Republican U.S. Sen. Norm Coleman in 2008-9, set up shop in Massachusetts in the event that Tuesday's election ended up too close to count. Republicans also had a legal team in place. And partisans on both sides of the campaign were complaining Tuesday of alleged voting irregularities.

2. I agree
Stalling his seating was wrong when it was Al Franken and it would be wrong here.

We'll unseat him in 2012.

4. They should not seat Brown NOW.
But, they should wait until all the required steps are finished. In this case there aren't as many because a challenge is not going to happen. But they still have to certify the results and it can't be done the same day or a few days later.

Using TPM as the source it is a minimum of at least 15 days. But because it is a federal election there is a longer window before the certificate of election can be issued.

There is not an imperative need to seat the winner as there is someone keeping it warm for the winner.

5. Another vote for Al....
However, it would be nice if I heard the GOP, just once in my lifetime, say we should do the right thing...

Now right meaning correct not political proclivity. Boy cause then they would be saying the right thing all the time...

6. Hell yes.
There's a guy who should know.

Not only is it the right thing to do, to NOT do so would make things even worse.
