Lima, Jun. 05 (ANDINA). Large, medium and small sized enterprises from Brazil would invest over US$5.5 billion in Peru during the next five years thanks to the strengthening of bilateral relations, Peruvian Economic and Commercial Counselor in Brazil Antonio Castillo said.

3. announcement came from current economic advisor
Furthermore, Castillo said that many Brazilian enterprises are interested in doing businesses in Peru as they also want to take advantage of the benefits of the several Free Trade Agreements (FTA) signed between Peru and many important markets from the world such as the United States, China, the European Union and soon Japan and Korea.

4. Yes I saw that...
But obviously Brazil does not think that Peru is going to go off an economic cliff like others against Humala's election have been warning.

6. Yes I agree, a wait and see approach is good and to be vigilant
But the fact that the market was down was likely due more to the fact that investors thought Keiko would pull out a victory and were shocked when that didn't go down, especially those outside of Peru. The Peruvian ex-pats who left during the 90s overwhelmingly voted for her and probably had little idea how those in the provinces felt about Peru's uneven economic growth. The economy boomed during the past decade but a majority of Peruvians remained poor and indigenous and campesino communities routinely had their rights violated. That is why you had this odd reality where just looking at GDP growth the country’s economic outlook looked good yet people voted for change. So I will wait and see as well and hope that the outcome of this election is beneficial for the majority of Peruvians.

7. I hope so too, but I get the overall impression, Peruvians were not thrilled with their choices
actually the same happened to some extent last election but this was even worse.

2. Someone unrec'd your article before I tried to recommend.
Makes you wonder what kind of mind would do that, doesn't it? Jeez.

Who resents Brazil bringing new business to Peru?

Keiko, Is that you? Maybe it's her dad. He's got a lot of spare time on his hands these days.
