3. We tend to be a bit exclusive at times
Like minds and all that stuff! I think it might be a lifetime bonding.

4. Attention Bidenites -- THIS is where we'll be living
if we have to flee the country and take refuge with 48percenter. I'd be tempted to go even if Obama DOES win.

I love that you get out and go to these places, 48percenter -- I remember your beautiful photos from ski trips, too. It should serve to remind us all that we have lots of beautiful areas around us that we take for granted and never go see. It would do our souls good.

I never went up Mt. Rainier (even though it was in my face every day of my life) until I got a new boss who moved up from California -- in the late 90's. (We'd attempted it once when I was a kid, when my Aunt Marion from Boston was visiting. In my Dad's big 'ol Cadillac, kind of fishtailing up the mountain in a snowfall. My aunt had me on my knees on the floor saying the rosary. We cut the trip short.)

So, thanks for the inspiration, 48percenter - I'm going to make an effort to take advantage of the beauty that surrounds me here. Until I show up on your doorstep. :7

5. Haha! You guys here know...
any of you are welcome to visit. We have plenty of room. :D

Yes, interestingly enough, I was doing a section in my German exam this afternoon, a reading portion...they were talking about this experimental school in Sweden (I don't know if this really exists or not) but anyhow, I got to thinking. Sweden, yes -- there are SO many places I want to visit. Why do I never think about Sweden during my daily life? It's like we all live in a bubble, even here, and don't often think about people's daily existence in other countries, places. I may fleetingly think about someone living in France or Italy, but never Scandinavia. Not sure why?

And, yes, we are having a really nice summer this year, less rain and solid 70-80 temps. That's good because when I came home from the islands, it was 55-60 and rainy, those were the daily highs. :puke:
