Motorcycle Vendors
I've search the archives and did not find a thread on Vendors for parts and accessories (please forgive me if I simply missed it). In this day of shrinking revenue what vendors do you use and where have you enthusiasts gotten exceptional service and customer service? For example, I've found J&P Cycles to be very good for parts and they offer great customer service. I'm now in the market for new leathers and have been pondering a purchase from Fox Creek, has anyone purchased from them? Are there other vendors which have provided quality products, good customer service, and fair prices?

1. I purchased bags from Don's Cycle
http://www.donscycleware.com/

He was very helpful with the installation. He also was giving a discount for Sporty owners - at least he was last year. Not a huge selection, but I found the bags I was looking for. Don is a very nice guy based on my contact with him. Prices seem to be more than fair.

2. I've been happy with Chapparrel
Bought a leather jacket from them years ago that I love...and the price was reasonable. Have also bought a few odds & ends over the years. Always great service.

If you're even in San Bernardino, it's worth stopping in their retail location. Massive, and a lot of fun to look around in.

3. Dennis Kirk
I like J&P pretty well too, and recently, I bought some parts from Dennis Kirk www.denniskirk.com

Not sure how their clothing/riding gear selection stacks up though, We have a fabulous local shop here in Tulsa that's hard to beat.

4. Since I've got a couple of Guzzis,
the big parts suppliers really don't carry anything for me, and I get my parts through the various dealer networks. For other gear, I'm kind of partial to Sandhills Powersports. They've got a great selection, good prices, and they ship quickly.

6. Another Guzzi owner here!
I'm just a few blocks from Moto International in Seattle, for all the Guzzi goodies.

I've ordered from CycleGear.com and heard good stuff about BikeBandit. BikeBandit gives a discount for AMA members.

Going to the Nationals in Colorado this year?

8. I registered for the National,

but there's been a change of plans so I'm not going to make it. I was able to cancel the hotel without penalty, and the fee for the National is no big deal. I'm guessing you're the same SeattleVet that's on WG and Illuminati? I'm the same cloudbase-nice to see another DUer.

I'm about six miles from MPH, so we're both lucky to have a couple of the primo shops near us.

On edit: sorry about the delay in getting back to you.

5. J&P is great
I get all my tires through them. They purchase them by the boatload and nobody can beat their prices.

7. Well I broke down and purchased a jacket from Fox Creek
I'll give them a plug simply because the people couldn't have been nicer. I was somewhat reluctant about ordering a jacket via phone but their customer service was great. I ordered one size and found it to be snug. They sent me two more jackets on the "honor system". I simply returned the ones which were either too small or too large. Secondly let me say the quality of their products is incredible! The jacked weighs 10 pounds, the leather is thick, and very soft. They provide a life time warranty against workmanship--snaps, zippers, seams, etc. It's nice to do business with a family owned American company who stands behind their products.
