4. the 4th pic? yes
I've been experimenting with wire wrapping lately, and found out that Im really not very good at it. That was one of the few that turned out well.

5. Could you do a close-up shot of that?
I'm really into detailed examination of what other people are doing with wire-wrapping.

9. That is an excellent idea
I don't have enough inventory to sell, and won't until after retirement. Consignment seems like a relatively hassle-free way to get started. Glad you are having some luck with it.

20. One warning about consignment: Be certain that the consignment
shop owner/manager takes good inventory and regards your pieces like paid for inventory. It can be good....and it can be bad.

21. Good advice
i have heard of consignment deals where the shop owner takes no responsibility for theft or damage. Stay away from those types of contracts!

22. You betcha! And, it's amazing what the public can do to your
product if the owner doesn't care....so, you can lose product (theft) or have it virtually destroyed.

This is not true of every consignment but I've had it happen twice early in my business that I never felt good about it again. As a shop owner I only took consignment from close friends who did outstanding work that I cherished.

23. I had it happen once--
and that's all it took to sour me on it. All my work---disappeared---gone--really pissed me off- and this was back in the early 80s. I hold grudges for a long time! ;<0

hey, allegro arts---have you had any etsy sales? me-- nuttin!

16. Thank you
It took a long time to make, but it was fun and has lots of goodies in it!

I have a tiny wrist, and I made it too large, so I wouldn't keep it!

27. Don't bother...I still have a completely empty shop!
That's why I didn't post the link. I'll do that after I actually put something in the shop. I have a number of ideas but nothing actually up there yet.

24. I just hearted you on etsy!
At the moment I have a totally empty etsy store, so I'm not going to post the link yet. I'll be putting some vintage sewing patterns in it in the next few days, though. I also knit and crochet and do cross stitch--basically, anything and everything that has to do with thread and/or fabric. I love beadwork too but haven't done it for a while.

Reading this thread and looking at your beautiful work (yours and Allegro's) has been a real inspiration for me, but deciding on my focus is going to be the hard part (as usual).
