1. He does not have my vote in the primary, but he would if he were the nominee.

5. he has mine, my fundie boss's, and my apathetic non voting roommate's vote.
I've heard that from both of them in the last week. :wow:

:bounce:
Even if Al never runs, this is great news for the Climate cause.

17. You
and millions of others. That's why I'm not worried about him having enough money to run his campaign. The outpouring of monetary and volunteer support will be unprecedented. Hillary's astounding "War Chest" won't stand a chance.

7. Def my vote, my money, and 1st born...see explanation below.
Voted for him the first time, have sent him money to urge him to run(it was returned with a nice letter--this was around 2005), and my first-born is dying to vote for him himself(first-born too young to vote in 2000). So, Al, you got all 3!

He has me he'll get all my presidential bid donations and he'll get the honor of my fist born child's first presidential vote, or so she keeps saying if he should run.

8. Of course all of this assumes..
that Gore is going to run.

I would vote for the guy in a split second, even over my current choice (Edwards).

But first he has to actually decide to run. Until i hear it from the man himself, this remains a pipe dream.

9. I'm going to stay with Edwards!
I need to see some kind of evidence that Gore would run a better campaign and have a more worthwhile
running mate than he has in the past. He's a great film maker but his campaigning sucks.

He's been a firebrand since. I think he'll run a much better campaign this time and in fact already is.

24. Totally agree with your DLC accessment and his "non-campaign run.
Silicon Valley is waiting for him and when he does watch the money flow.
I would vote for almost any other Democratic candidate if he doesn't run
but he is my first choice that has the vision that would excite me
as much as when I supported Bobby Kennedy.

14. Rewatch An Inconvenient Truth
He understands the moral imperative. He knows what he needs to do. He's running a great campaign so far and the media can't touch him because it isn't official yet. The longer he puts off announcing, the better.

38. His movie doesn't mean he wil run
Anymore then Michael Moore is going to run.

Indeed, it' s not without credence to say that Gore could do more good outside of office then in.

Political office has become so corupting that any politican that doesn't get bought and sold is seen as a hero just for not being corrupt.

41. It's not the movie
It's the revelation that he understands the moral imperative, however you could be right that he views what that moral imperative demands of him differently than I do.

32. Something I haven't seen discussed;
maybe I've missed it. We need a solid majority in Congress in 2008 to go along with the Presidency. I can only imagine the nastiness that would ensue if the Republicans get control of the House or Senate.

My view is Al Gore can deliver the Presidency and that needed majority. Looking back over my sentence, it is quite bad!!

Some people have been saying they won't vote for any Dems for anything but will vote for Gore. I've written back that they seem to want Gore to be faced with a Republican Congress then.

The best thing, in my opinion, would be if Gore announced and made it no secret that Clark would be his VP candidate.

31. I wouldn't mine that since Clark doesn't have strong connections
to the military industrial complex as much as Feinstein...LOL (clark is OK in my book)
It would be an interesting historical ticket. I wonder what people
would think of Clark as VP in case something happened.
The Vice Presidency's power has increased to an insane level now
in the Federal Government.

I would like to know within 6 months the teams
that all the candidates would try or like to put together.

Each have their connections in politics, academics, technology, industry and labor.
Leadership is many different things to many different people but they hold
these essences.

Lee Iacocca

"Name me an industry leader who is thinking creatively about how we can restore our competitive edge in manufacturing," he writes. "Who would have believed that there could ever be a time when 'the Big Three' referred to Japanese car companies?"----he said he likes Gore and mentioned him as leader in his excellent rant on
the shit the country is in.
--------------------------------------------------------
Steve Jobs

How do you systematize innovation?

"You don't. You hire good people who will challenge each other every day to make the best products possible. That's why you don't see any big posters on the walls around here, stating our mission statement. Our corporate culture is simple."

So the key is to have good people with a passion for excellence.
When I got back, Apple had forgotten who we were. Remember that "Think Different" ad campaign we ran? It was certainly for customers, but it was even more for Apple. That ad was to remind us of who our heroes are and who we are. Companies sometimes do forget. Fortunately, we woke up. And Apple is doing the best work in its history".

Gore is on board Apple and Google
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Scientist- Academics ?????

Need I mention "An Inconvenient truth"
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Labor?------I like what I heard from Gore but I don't know how labor feels now about him.
But unions and labor are two different things. If industry did its job correctly, fairly and justly, the worker,
a part of a limited participatory democracy within the business, which is happening in European firms, Labor would never need to organize into Unions to get benefits that all citizens should enjoy. Everyone has read about the 500% growth differences between CEOs and labor.

This I think is really what is the real question that is not being addressed by any of the candidates
except Dennis, who is a man of principle and not afraid to address economic terms beyond
the history of years past.

35. I am pretending that there IS NO election until he enters.
I will work tirelessly for him.

I was ignorant in 2000. I voted for Gore and thought
that that was the extent of my democratic duty.

I was WRONG. We have been SCREWN ever since.

I feel sure that he will have the combined efforts
of all of the good people of MoveOn, DFA, PDA, and
the vast majority of the Democratic Underground all
pulling on our "oars" together for him.

I HOPE he jumps in, and I THINK he will.
