8. I would if I had any idea
or anything I would even consider close! My knowledge of photography is very limited and as to who they are? Well I just do not know. Still interested though. I miss these threads. I think I will look back over your others to see what all has been posted that I missed.

Thank you for these threads. I think this is wonderful, a great way to educate and a fun way to learn!

9. Thank you for the encouragement! It's a fun thing.
I did one on "writers and their portraitists" that was a lot of fun for DUers.

This is hard, tho. So many of today's artists are well known photographically that it's not much of a challenge. These are indeed older artists. In fact, I think only one in this group is alive today...so that might have something to do with it...

3. Your challenge might be in trouble! I saw a documentary on Google the other night,
and they are working on a way to scan a photo into Google's data base and get info that way.... :D

4. I'm sure of it. The way I figure, tho, is that DUers know a LOT about art anyway.
Because of that, my challenges are "always" in trouble!

11. Because I was not going to even hazard a guess
I used my Google Goggles on my Android. I got two of them to show the subject and one that was both the subject and the photographer. I was surprised that it did not get them all. Sadly one of them I did not even know who the person was. Off to research....I can't stand not knowing.

14. Just fyi, I google all these images before I use them. If they come up on an
"images" site I don't use them...I get them other places on the Internet, because I have enough of an art education to look other places...and I'm always learning!

13. I am so ashamed!
I have seen the work of one of these artists, even have a small relation (very very small you will know what I mean) with one of them and I did not recognize. Oh well, I know more now than I did before and that is a great thing! Thank you. :hi:

Sad to say, but many of these are older...

Has anyone guessed # 3, the only woman?

22. Yes. I included it after looking at several other famous photographers' portraits
of Giacometti because I wanted the hint to be there...same with Brancusi (#6) that included his unique sculptural style...
