VERY powerful, moving General Motors Thanksgiving advertisement...
Edited on Thu Nov-25-10 02:58 PM by AnArmyVeteran
I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving and are fortunate to be with friends or family.

While watching the Macys parade an advertisement caught my eye that was both moving and powerful. GM was thanking us for our help. All politics aside, this ad is one of the best I've ever seen. It was masterfully done and the viewer isn't aware if its intent until the very end. I tried to find a link and even checked out GM's website but couldn't find it.

Their ad was perfect for this day of thanks. A brief story about the ad is at this site: http://jfxgillis.newsvine.com/_news/2010/11/25/5526296-video-gm-says-thank-you-to-american-public-in-holiday-commercial

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone...

From a subsequent post:

(Apparently my mobile device doesn't let me view the video)

1. Very nice. Did the banks ever send the American people a thank you note for the bailout?
Just wondering.

3. We will never get a thank you from corrupt, soulless bankers.
Not only will banks never say thank you, they will continue to hand out million dollar bonuses and look for new ways to screw us. I wish Obama would come down hard on them, but that will never happen. We have no one on our side in government who has the courage to confront the financial mobsters on Wall Street. It's a shame too, because President Obama could have been a hero to the American people if he had gone after the banks like Elliot Ness went after the mob. He would even have received some support from tea partiers if he went to war against financial corruption.
