15. they did a nice job
Edited on Thu May-24-07 06:11 PM by some guy
of making the voting pretty murky.

I presume amendment 1 had to do with the minimum wage, veteran's benefits etc. and amendment 2 had to do with more money for Iraq; but it will be impossible to refer to these roll-call votes a month from now, and interpet which was which. :eyes:

edit: spelling

14. Can anyone explain the two different versions voted on?
It looks like they passed two versions and tossed it to the Senate. Is that right?

19. One was fhe funding for Iraq/Afganistan
The other was the spending part: Katrina, veterans health care, minimum wage. Not sure but I think the only way the house could pass it was to get the GOP votes for the war but not the rest so they divided it and will send one bill to the Senate where since it's really a GOP bill (Warner) it will pass.

Could it be because he also voted for both the Medicare Part D scam AND the Bankruptcy bill?

18. Wu voted "No" on the second one.
I called his office today and the person who answered said he would not vote for a bill that did not have timetables for withdrawal.
