Airlines will find a way to make profits despite TSA

Does anyone seriously believe that the airlines will suffer because of the new TSA security measures? People still have to fly. Some of us in California still have parents in Michigan waiting to see their grandchildren. There will still be New York-to-Shanghai business trips. And so what if a few people decide not to fly. That extra bag you have to check in will just cost an additional $10 and you know, one European airline charges to use the restroom on some flights. So while we're all outraged, the folks in Atlanta and elsewhere are plotting ways to make up the difference.

Some of that is their own fault, some of it is structural issues. But do NOT assume they are making profits.
