We've just updated the "New Mail" notification so it appears in more places on DU

We've updated the "New Mail" notification so that it will now appear in many more places other than the Home page, the Lobby, and the Latest and Greatest pages. Whenever you receive a private message, you'll be notified whether you're on those pages, in a forum, or even in a discussion thread. No longer is there any need to return to the top level pages to check your messages.

We know that this is an upgrade people have been asking for for a long time, so we're glad to finally get it taken care of. Hope you enjoy it!

I was wondering whether or not it had been suggested before I did the other day. I wasn't sure if you had even seen my idea, but I'm glad you guys are making this change.

I know I wasn't the first to consider this, of course.

Here's another idea;

Insert a "Preview" function on PM's just like there is on a post, so that if one uses various HTML tags in a PM, you can see if they are arranged properly.
