3. I'm sure he believes it completely
Nothing has ever been his fault. Nothing.

I'm sorry Kanye West apologized for saying what everyone knew was true.

7. ...God hates WhistleAss
and God is willing to kill thousands of innocent people just to prove how deeply he's hated.

That thought will never register with Chimpolini, however. If he believes his own 'religious convictions' at all, he likely assumes that God is still on his side. The other part, however, about the death of untold numbers of people, the diaspora from New Orleans, and the environmental & economic disaster left in the wake of the storm being inconvenient to his pretzeldency, that's the true mark of a narcissist.

5. It did, Thank God
That's the first that most of somnulent America noticed he was less than stellar as a president. It even caught the fleeting attention of that ignorant 10% in the political "middle" that use their deep thinking skills to decide our elections.

6. It Was A Tipping Point
Before Katrina, Dim Son was still crusing with decent approval ratings despite all the damage he had done. Katrina woke people up to how incompotent that regime was. While they gave him a pass on 9/11 and the Iraq invasion, Katrina hit too close to home...people started wondering what if that had happened in their town. He'll forever be known as the man who drowned New Orleans.

:hi:

11. HIs indifference to the suffering of the people of NOLA
destroyed his presidency - it wasn't the hurricane - it was his lack of response.

16. True
One other thing that happened that year was Terri Schaivo...the circus at the nursing home and then that midnight House session. I think that also had an impact. No question, his indifference (playing geetar) to the suffering in that city was only superceded by his "overly" concern when he saw his popularity was taking a hit. Who can forget that "speech" he gave in Jefferson Square where they rigged up lights for him and the second he was done the city once again went dark. That summed it up for me.

18. He was the worst president in history
2005 was the last straw for most people - and yes I'll never forget the rigged up lights. W was an abysmal failure but of course he's never been responsible for a damn thing.

21. Taken alone, Schiavo wasn't enough to bring him down, but
his blatant "disconcern" about Katrina victims versus the whole Schiavo debacle made even mildly attentive Americans wake up.

17. It did
Before his failed response to Katrina, his approval ratings were hanging near 50. They plunged to the 30s and lower in the aftermath, never to return. It was not Katrina itself, but his lack of meaningful and timely response to the tragedy that put the final nail in that coffin.

It wasn't the storm per se, had he been there with the busses getting people out of harm's way, Katrina might have even helped his image.

24. THAT's is the basis of elite war on NATURE .... right there--!!!
You're look at it -- the mind of a paranoid sociopath -- !!

Only one concern -- themselves -- and that's the way they look at the world.

But it is the underlying basis for patriarchy's war on nature!!

So while he has a narcissist's way of looking at that tragedy and the entirety of the horror that was his Presidency... what he said is true.

27. Somehow, I doubt this Bush Rehabilitation Tour is going to change the public perception of him.
He's admitted to war crimes, he stated that his greatest success was keeping Americans safe during his 8 years in office (conveniently forgetting about 9/11 in the process), and recently telling the public that he missed the perks and pampering of the office. 2 years out of office and there's no sign of any self reflection. But no surprise, most sociopaths are incapable of self reflection.
