Speaker Pelosi: 'This proposal is simply unacceptable.'
11/10/2010

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement today on the proposal released by the Co-Chairs of the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform:

“Our nation is facing two challenges: the need to create jobs and address our budget deficit. Any viable proposal from the President’s Fiscal Commission must strengthen our economy, but it must do so in a fair way, focusing on how we can effectively promote economic growth.

”This proposal is simply unacceptable. Any final proposal from the Commission should do what is right for our children and grandchildren’s economic security as well as for our nation’s fiscal security, and it must do what is right for our seniors, who are counting on the bedrock promises of Social Security and Medicare. And it must strengthen America's middle class families--under siege for the last decade, and unable to withstand further encroachment on their economic security.”

I want nothing to do with anyone who has violated their oath of office.

Words DO mean something.

5. Go Pelosi!
Hopefully, she'll become the minority leader, and she'll be able to win back the position of speaker of the house from that idiot Boehner.

13. Yes, she is. The best Speaker of the House in history!
I love Madam Speaker Pelosi because the RepubliDems and Republican'ts alike, hate her.

This means she's doing something good for the American people, and that's why she must stay as Minority Leader and soon, Speaker of the House again.

15. Creating jobs and reducing the deficit, she's right on the mark.
And we know letting the top 1-2% keep more of the money this economy generates, isn't good for everyone else who makes what they bank possible. England learned how deleterious to the country keeping wealth tied up in a few hands can be, as did the rest of Europe. It is past time this country grew up.
