Felon Republican's election challenged
KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A man newly elected as the presiding commissioner of Cass County is being challenged for the job even before he takes office.

KMBC's Martin Augustine reported that Gary Mallory, who was defeated by Herschel Young, and the Cass County Democratic Party are suing, arguing that Young should never have been allowed to run for the job.

Court papers show that Young pleaded guilty in 1995 to a class-C felony for punching a man in the face. Young was sentenced to probation.

The Missouri General Assembly passed the law banning felons from holding public office after a push from State Sen. Victor Callahan, an Independence Democrat.

2. Not any more
Voters elected a teabagger leader here who has NO experience and a guy whose daughter was murdered a couple years ago. Also NO experience.

Ike Skelton, who had been in office for 30 some years, and who had brought BILLIONS back to his district (including the B1 bomber) was defeated by a lady who has no intention of preserving the B1 base.

This was just an insane election.

3. Karl Rove's head vote cager was elected to AR 3.
He was also involved in the US Attorney scandal. I think his name is Tim Griffin.

Insane is the word.
