Where President Obama NEEDS to flip/flop
Here are some issues for which we need Obama to do a http://static.politifact.com.s3.amazonaws.com:80/rulings%2Ffom-fullFlop.gif

1: "Separate but Equal" is NOT equal! Forget civil unions and back gay marriage.

2: Legalize marijuana! For crying out loud at least let the states decide for themselves on this one.

3: Start playing hardball with Republicans! While I may appreciate calm, rational debate with substantive quality let's be serious. We live in a society where WWF and Jerry Springer ruled the airwaves. Start throwing punches!

1. #2 is really what the 10th Amendment was all about.
I agree on all three.

2. uh...
I approve on #2, that would be a big help. Your item #1 is going to change so few votes either way that it's really a non-factor electorally; on item #3, I'd wager he thinks he already is playing hardball with them...

The other things he needs to flop on are:

1 - perpetual war policy (bring the boys back home!)
2 - kid gloves treatment for bankers

5. Are you really saying the LGBT segregation is unimportant because of POLITICS?
You don't see that there might be some other reason to support full marriage rights for everyone?

4. Good luck with those
Obama isn't going to touch DOMA or gay marriage. In fact he has made it perfectly clear that he is against gay marriage back in the '08 campaign, and his actions so far have born that out.

Legalize marijuana:rofl: This is a man whose own AG was threatening California to come in and lower the hammer on federal anti-marijuana laws if Prop. 19 was passed.

As far as playing hardball with 'Pugs, good luck with that. Obama, along with Congressional Dems, have shown a consistent unwillingness or inability to fight for anything. Expect that trend to continue.
