Lou Holtz --- OFF the list

We are late into the fourth quarter of the midterm elections and the NRCC needs your immediate help to drive our Republican Party to Victory.

In case you don't recognize me, my name is Lou Holtz and if my 40 years coaching college football taught me anything, it’s how to spot a winning team.

And I’m writing to tell you - Quarterbacked by John Boehner and Pete Sessions - our Republican Party has an excellent team of limited government, pro-freedom individuals ready to take the field in Washington and defeat the other team's liberal agenda.

But they can't find the End Zone without your support. With less than 28 days left until the election your support is needed. It may mean the difference between 38 seats and the majority.

You see, despite the slew of positive polls and media reports on our Party's terrific chance to recapture the U.S. House majority, the truth is the ball is still on the 20-yard line with plenty of time left on the clock.

And the other team is fierce. They will say or spend anything to get another four downs to spend our money and strip away our freedoms that have made America a beacon of hope for 234 years.

My friend, YOU are the NRCC's 12th man and they urgently need your help to win every U.S. House seat possible, fire Nancy Pelosi, and elect a Republican to the Speaker's chair this November.

Please join me and help them by making a generous contribution of $39, $1 dollar for every seat needed create a NEW Republican Majority. Your support may mean the difference between 38 seats and the majority.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Lou Holtz,
Hall of Fame Coach

P.S. -- With Election Day fast approaching, Republican House candidates need our help. Please send your urgent contribution of $39 to the NRCC right away. Also, check out the NRCC's 39 Day Campaign. Click or go to www.nrcc.org/39Days to learn more!

1. Oh, screw that dirty old bastard!
He and Brent Mushburger are about the last remaining college football "analysts" (emphasis on the "anal") who can make me scream at the teevee box like my Dad used to do. Now I understand why.

5. This shit for brains dumped the U of Minnesota before a Bowl Game
So he could get an early start with Notre Dame.

That was 25 years ago and I've hated the prick the whole time for that.

Now it's good to see that I have a real legitimate reason to hate the ass.

11. Time to tell all analysts - football or political - go get lost
We're all intelligent enough to interpret the news and politics and football and determine the bottom line for our beliefs without having highly paid pundits and analyst entertainers telling us how to think. If CNN, MSNBC, Fox news, Clear Channel, NBC, CBS, ABC radio etc went off the air today I wouldn't miss any one of them

Hey if you think you need a pundit telling you what to think, just maybe you don't know what or how to think on your own. I turn off the TV or radio before I listen to someone else telling me how I should think.

mind than having a bevy of overpaid left and right talking head entertainers suggesting or telling others how they should think. I refuse to listen to any of them except for those that appear on CSPAN.

They have but one mission and it is to be highly paid and to rile up the masses, both right or left and in the end it is not productive for society. I'd be happy if Hannity, Beck, Limbaugh, Olbermann and Maddow were no longer on the air. I don't need them to form an opinion, and too many Americans use them as a crutch for rationale when they should form their own.

16. Lots of Jocks are Republicans and Rabid Right-Wingers!!!
I would say that most athletes tend to be right wingers and Republicans....Hell, even Charles Barkley was a registered Republican for a long time until he realized he could not win Governor in Alabama because of the nation's hard right-wing turn.

O.J. Simpson was another loyal Republican too.

The sexism, bigotry, homophobia, misogyny, and the various Christian Athletes groups makes these jocks more likely to be in the GOP.

The sportsworld promotes American Nationalism at its worst too as the "God Bless America" songs at the 7th Inning Stretch in Baseball/World Series so clearly demonstrates.

20. PGA- hard Repub. NFL and MLB mixed bag. NBA hard Dems.
the only golfers who contribute to Dems are Faxon and John Daly (Arkansas)

Basketball is Dem country except for "Coach K" . Dean Smith was big on anti-death penalty anti-nukes and he integreated the ACC (which was huge).

Football and baseball are a mixed bag.

30. That list isn't quite right
First, Magic Johnson isn't a republican. If you look up his donations, they are all to Democrats. he also campaigned for then-Sen Clinton before the CA primary.

All of Ron Jaworski's donations are to Democrats, also: http://www.newsmeat.com/fec/bystate_detail.php?city=WEST+BERLIN&st=NJ&last=Jaworski&first=Ron

I'm not going to go through the entire list, but I immediately knew those two were wrong.

33. ???
Just because they gave donations to certain campaigns means nothing....

It could be that Johnson was a registered Republican at one time just like Charles Barkley was. Many people who are registered with one party still vote and campaign for other's from another political party. It's done a lot.
