Anyone else feel the economy will turn around when Big Business and Corporation start hiring
with that $1 trillion in cash they've been sitting on, and that the republican tea party will get credit? Or do I need more tin foil? :tinfoilhat:

1. No, I don't think you'll be seeing that happen. There is no need for companies to hire in the USA.
Nobody is consuming. And they can continue to get there tax breaks by hiring overseas.

7. i think they have to hire if they want their cronies to stay in power.
the same nut cases that voted them in last night will be at raging zombie status if we still have 9% unemployment in 2 years.

2. The economy will turn around when people start buying stuff.
So long as 5% of the population continue hoarding their wealth, that seems not very immediate.

If corporations had a profitable use for that cash, they'd spend it.

3. Oh absolutely
And they'll do that after they force the Democrats (and Obama) to rescind the federal minimum wage, and any existing corporate and labor regulations that are strangling the business community.

4. This is EXACTLY what will happen. But it was more about being against economic reform
than being FOR the nutbaggers.

Oh, and isn't it odd that there haven't been any take-over artists to take over these cash-loaded companies? That was such a big deal in the past. If a company had that much cash KKR would take over and then sell off the assets. Apparently the viagra isn't working and they're too limp to do their free-marketeering.

5. As long as companies can meet demand with current work force...
They will not take on more labor. Our workforce works at historic high efficiency. Labor must pay for itself. Big companies are more likley to increase the trend of moving jobs overseas to lower paid workers.

6. So business have so much influence with Citizens United
that they don't need to prop up the republican tea party with actually employment numbers. Isn't it in their best, greedy interests to maintain republican tea party power? Is Citizens United enough to ensure that?

9. No, it is in their interest to give the biggest return on their investors...
investment, or return the biggest profit to their owners.

Republicans in Congress will make sure that no more regulation on business is passed, and they will certainly lower taxes, which provides a bigger profit for owners and investors.

They care about who is in power, not the idiots that put those people in power. They will not take on greater liability and hurt profits just to please a bunch of low information, high anger voters who will vote for a pile of shit as long as the shit farts the right message.

8. That won't happen until there's a Republican President
They can keep employment down and give Obama a bad rep on jobs to elect one in 2012.

and then it still won't happen. Because they are greedy bastards who don't give a shit about the place they keep their plantations and beach houses.
