Thank goodness we kept the Senate.
We keep the power to ratify Obama's nominees, such as the Supreme Court.

4. We don't have the Senate. It takes 60 votes to control the Senate.
It only takes 51 votes to pass something Republicans want but it takes 60 votes to pass a Democratic measure.

We don't control either for at least the next 2 years and with gerrymandering this year we are unlikely to control the House for the next decade.
