That's Dan Burton you're thinking of and no, Burton did NOT lose his House seat (in case you were wondering. He's my Congressman :puke: :banghead:) He was, however, challenged in the Republican primary and even our local newspaper doesn't like him anymore. If there hadn't been a six-way primary race for his seat, he might've been bounced this year during the primaries. Oh well. *sigh* Maybe in 2012? :shrug:

9. This is no surprise here in Indiana -- the one interesting
factor is that he is an establishment republican, NOT at all a tea party candidate. So the tea party is not the magical movement after all, from appearances so far.

The one good thing to remember is that Indiana went blue for Obama in 2008 -- the first time since 1964. Otherwise Indiana tends very republican, so this is (unfortunately) no surprise.
