Well I voted

I went out and had a good breakfast with my 80 year old dad like we do every Thursday. We talked about many things, including politics, and after about an hour, we went our separate ways. After I returned home, I gathered up my garbage can, did the daily crossword puzzle, and decided that I'd walk to the polling place since it's such a nice day. On the way, I saw a guy who is runnung for the Iowa House of Representatives out raking his leaves. Industrious, but I still didn't vote for him.
Got in and out of the polling place in 20 minutes and had no problems. Voted straight Dems and yes on the Iowa land and water measure, no on the Constitutional Convention (they want to add an amendment outlawing gay marriage) and a resounding YES on retaining the three judges who ruled to uphold the stae constitution and allow gay marriage.
Sorry I don't have any juicy stories about voter suppression or anything like that, but quite frankly, that's not we do things here. Have a nice day and peace to you all.
The turnout was pretty good too. All the cubicles were full and as I was leaving, people just kept filing in. At 10:00 AM. I believe that is an encouraging sign.
