Nuthin but Marco Rubio signs all around the polling place near me.
Edited on Tue Nov-02-10 09:15 AM by Billy Burnett
Voting place set up in the Scout Hall located near the groundskeepers garages of a golf course nearby. To get there one has to drive around almost the entire course on a long winding road. Last night some group has placed hundreds of Marco Rubio signs ALL AROUND the golf course perimeter, right up to the driveway of the small Boy Scout meeting hall where voting was. It is a city owned golf course and meeting hall.

Asked a few poll workers if this is legal. Was told to ask a cop parked nearby. Asked the cop. He told me to call city code enforcement. Called city hall. No one knows nuthin.

:argh:

1. City, county and state law dictate how far a political sign must be placed from the polling place.
You'd be surprised how close it can be. Usually within 40-100 feet. That's not very far. I live in Florida too so I know exactly what you are talking about.

I was dismayed when I saw my sample ballot. Every single race has the Republican listed first rather than in alphabetical order or shuffled. That's blatant placement bump for the Republicans in my opinion.

2. Are all the Republicans on the ballot incumbents or incumbent party?
I believe that is how they decide who is listed first.
