2. Mine is. We won't get mail for days, then the mail box will be full.
Plus it's coming later in the day. Sometimes the mail has been opened, too.
Why do you ask?

3. Our poor mailman is overworked ..to the max
sometimes he's still out delivering at 6 pm..

I suspect that all the foreclosures has enlarged some of the mail carriers' routes.

I'd ask my mail carrier pals, but they have all retired early, to get out while the getting was good.

9. I've found that priority mail across Denver (within 20 miles or so)
takes just as long as from California or the mid-west. I think it has to do with relay from main station to local PO branch. Seems ridiculous, but yes, it has taken 2-3 days before. On the other hand, I have sometimes gotten priority mail within 24 hours from a main hub in somewhere like Salt Lake City or Dallas. Go figure.

10. I can get tea delivered from London in 4 days, yet it will
take a week to get a bill from the town 10 miles south through the mail. Go figure.

12. It takes 14 days
for one of my bills to get delivered to our home, the bill originates from a bordering state, the town roughly a 7hr drive away.

11. Hell No!
Christmas Catalogs are arriving gangbusters. Bills arrive on time. Not much has changed other then our favorite mail carrier quit because of her working conditions.

13. Actually, the USPS is screaming fast - and has only improved over the last few years.
I've been shocked by how quickly things have been delivered, both to myself and to those I send things to. I suppose it depends on the region you are in and the distribution channels, main office routing, etc., but that hasn't changed for me in a decade and yet the delivery times have gotten better for me. The only thing I'll be sad about is if they cancel Saturday delivery. I understand the financial realities that may require such a move, but I sort of enjoy having something in the mailbox each day (except for the junk mail) and would actually like it if they added Sunday deliveries.
