NYT Columnist David Brooks Gets Schooled by NYT Readers

So Mr "I'm not really an idiot, I just play one on TV and in print" Brooks writes a column today putting the blame for the NY/NJ tunnel project being canceled by RW asshole Chris Chrissy squarely on the shoulders of union workers and their pensions. He tosses out a few stats from the golden 1950s to show how it's those union types who are ruining the country.

So it's nice to see the majority of responders to his column taking Mr Brooks to school (and to task), principally by pointing out that states would have plenty of money for pensions right now if the top 1% of tax payers were paying tax rates anywhere near to what they were paying back in the 50s.
