The leadership is frightening but the people seem lovely.

5. A lifetime of Unrelenting tedium and fear. And, that's for the party elite. It's worse for the

rest of the population.

Just look at the face of the Young Dictator. He really would rather be somewhere, anywhere else.

6. The person sitting next to me when we were watching CNN coverage of the parades

commented that the marching soldiers' boots didn't match from man to man. They had zoom-in close-ups of the marching feet. I didn't look quickly enough to catch it.

They have an enormous and powerful military, but apparently don't have matching boots.
