Glenn Beck Reveals Health Issues - Problem feeling in hands and feet also Vocal Chords
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 12:06 PM by RamboLiberal
Fox News Channel host Glenn Beck revealed on his radio program this morning that he is dealing with some health problems, and that he will be taking time off next week to undergo tests.

From Beck’s website, TheBlaze.com:

On recent broadcasts he’s discussed that he has been having problems with feeling in his hands and feet. Today he explained that “small fiber” issues may be involved but that testing will provide more understanding.

This isn’t the first time that health problems have plagued the popular host.

In 2008 Beck was hospitalized, resulting in a memorable video he recorded. Later that year he also tumbled down a flight of stairs.

And earlier this year he claimed he might be going blind?

but that doesn't involve the extremities. Diabetes would be the best diagnosis at this point--it might be something neurologically worse.

8. Sorry, I just can't seem to squeeze out one, single, tiny tear
for that POS. He's a plague on humanity. He's even worse than Limbaugh. At least Limbaugh is just a political gasbag. Beck brings apocalyptic hellfire religion into his political rants and that's a quantum leap above in terms of being dangerous. He'd be happier with his Maker anyway, wouldn't he?

And I NEVER say things like this--really! I think BecKKK is crazy dangerous.

9. Hey Glen Beck
Just fucking die. Do it on stage. It's the ultimate in performance art. People will talk about it for years to come. And face it nobody will ever be able to top it.

You've been getting progressively more and more outrageous and to keep the public's interest up you have to keep outdoing yourself.

Besides there are other loons on the scene now that are making you look sane. Christine O'Donnell. That raving idiot that was on Rachel Maddow last night. You have to out crazy them if you want to stay in the spotlight. Or you won't be the #1 nut job in the USA anymore.

So off yourself on camera.

Follow that up with numbness in the extremities and vocal cord problems, and I think we're looking at a CNS disease (or maybe PNS? Myasthenia Gravis?).

I was thinking his brain cramp was tightening around his spinal cord, asphyxiating it and causing the numbness down line.

Could be your explanation is more grounded in science though.

63. That was my thought
...my late mother had MS..and as much as I detest Glenn Beck..I would not wish that disease on him (or anyone else). I know they have better treatments for it now..but I slowly watched my mother wither away. She spent the last almost two decades of her life in a nursing home slowly dying.

It's one of the reasons I'm such a proponent for national health care. You don't know what a disease likes that does to your family until it happens to you (and that was nearly 30 years ago). IF he does have it..then at least he can afford treatment and care.

39. Sounds like. I'm a lifetime insulin-dependent and when my blood glucose is
out of fine-tuning mine flares up. sometimes the glucose goes out of control for reasons I can't control, but mostly it's controllable.

Here's what pisses me off no end--his making a big case of it makes it hard for the rest of us to get by in the world. People are stupid, will feel sorry for him--but look at me and say "well, Glenn Beck couldn't work through it; why should I hire you?"

36. His spiel today
“I wanted you to know now, so that you will understand my mindset of why I’m looking to Gandhi for a single answer.”

“And I would ask for your prayers. I wouldn’t ask for your prayers on healing. I would ask for your prayers on clarity. I would ask for your prayers, I don’t think I have heard anyone say this out loud. I would ask for your prayers for a desire to continue to stand. I will just like to want to.”

“Things are changing and there is no bad news here because what I’m feeling in myself and what is happening to my physical body to some extent and what is happening to me mentally is not a depression or death, it is a transformation. it is a transcendence. It is reaching from the slime and pulling yourself out.”

“So it is not bad news. It is just a transition period that will leave us in the end still meeting everyday. It will leave us in the end still standing for what we want. It will leave us in the end still speaking out and teaching others. It will leave us in the end still questioning with boldness even the existence the very existence of God.”

But, it will leave us in the end bearers of light.”

http://wireupdate.com/wires/11063/glenn-beck-to-undergo-medical-tests-for-unknown-ailment/

I wouldn't pray for his demise but I sure would for this dangerous clown to be taken off the air.

Glenn Beck

*************UNQUOTE*************

Well, I just had to turn on the box this A.M. to see what's up. I was 15 minutes late, but apparently he had been warming up and was just getting to the good stuff. With choking up he got around to spitting out that his hands and feet have been going NUMB but with TINGLING, that those of us who listen faithfully can detect there's something wrong with his voice, that he is taking off Monday and Tuesday to "go West" to have tests done, that his doctors will be doing "ALL KINDS of blood work," that he's going to have "CAT SCANS and m. r. E ---I mean, m.r.I done" and that we might remember that he told us he has "macular DISTROPHY" (uh, does he mean "macular degeneration"?) and might or might not go blind within a year, and that he asked his doctor whether he should quit what he's doing because of the dreaded STRESS, and the doctor said, no, that there's something WRONG with him, that the doctor told him the purpose of all these tests was to "look for TOXINS. POISONS", and that that word STUCK with him. So he claims that he was lying in bed "next to my wife" reading about us, and it came to him that for years he has HAD to study us, all of us who have said POISONOUS things about him, and that he had to do this to UNDERSTAND us, and that WE have been poisoning him, that "a house divided" has been him with sumpin' BAD poisoning his other half, that he has to look at the poison but not drink it, that he "has to pull (himself) out of THE SLIME."

Oh, he's looking to GANDHI now for an answer, and he is asking for his lemmings' prayers, oh not for healing or clarity, but rather for DESIRE. Yes, DESIRE. "To continue to WANT to.......(humongous pauses)" I think he said the thing he wants to continue is "this thing". So it is "not BAD news, just transition. We'll still be meeting every day. It will leave us in the end being bearers of light, and truth and love. COME with me on this journey."

Oh, coming back from a break he JOKED because he is so brave, "I can see what the George SOROS people will be saying, that BecKKK says they are poisoning him. I didn't say that."

Bwah-ha-HAHAHAHAHAH!1 After all the sobbing, he pulled his voice together for a commercial about a board game. Oh, he's no doctor, so he doesn't know all the health things that millions of people go through that he would find just DRAMATIC if they were happening, like the things he's listed, to HIM!1

and some of us speculated as to what he's pulling now. It's always something, like Lucy snatching the football away from Charlie BROWN. Or like this first link, the monkey goofing with the dog:

53. GBS Was My First Thought
It killed my father last year. My dad finally had enough in July 09 and asked to be taken off the ventilator after 81 days in the hospital. My sisters and I sat with him until he passed, a grueling 5 hour wait as his heart was so strong, but we held him until he was done. Beck would go in minutes if he requested the same.

55. Unless his "problem" changes the kind of person he actually is
I'm not convinced yet to regard him as anything but the hateful and stupid person that he seems to always take pride in being.

If his health problems turn out to be dire, that is of course, a shame as it would be for anyone.

However, in light of all the crap he's pulled subsequent to the last health scare he had, when he inflicted us all with his "woe is me" act from his hospital bed, I have no qualms in stating that Glenn Beck won't get any sympathy out of me, for now or for ever.

Lots of people have it, lots of people go on about their daily lives with it--but one of you fankids is gonna see this and think another sufferer is less than fucntional just so you can grab more drama and sympathy, you evil, hateful, son of a rat's ass maggot.

It can be quite severe, of course, but it's also quite manageable in the early stages if you take care of your db and follow doctor's orders.

48. One has to wonder if these symptoms are "pre-existing conditions".

After all, insurance companies aren't looking lightly on such things. Beck better watch out. His words against health care may haunt him.

52. Someone tell him he could be just in a rough patch.
Most things will work out, it could be about learning. Good thoughts for him.

I know many of my perceptions have changed over the years.

62. This is the "Wasting Brain Syndrome(tm)"
Edited on Fri Oct-08-10 12:43 PM by ProudDad
They're exploring this in various University Medical schools...under grants from NIH...

It's especially prevalent among tea party folk and blue-dog democrats...

The syndrome in initiated when the critical thinking sections of the brain are shut off in favor of knee-jerk reactions to slogans or anger at convenient perceived "enemies".

After a while, the autonomic system begins shutting down in sympathy.

It seems to be a more generally prevalent form of the Darwin Effect...

Pfizer is working on a pill for this -- coming soon to a cable tv advertisement near you.

65. If it is true, I'll invoke the "Momma Says Rule" and leave it at that.
No matter how tempting it would be to do otherwise.
