Because I voted for them all today. I'll be out state on Election Day, so I did my absentee ballot at Shitty Hall this morning. For those of you planning to be gone on that day, don't forget to get your absentee ballots in!

One plus to doing it this way was that I didn't get that "going to the principal's office" flashback I get when I vote in schools. ;)

3. I signed up to get an absentee ballot automatically
every election (I live in CA). That way I don't have to worry about being out of town, sick, etc. And I have more time to think about the initiatives which are not easy to understand.

4. Filled mine out last night...
Really wished I was smoking a doobie as I marked the little box for the CA pot deal... :smoke: It would have been so poetic... heh...

8. Sent mine in last week (I'm in Australia) . . .
Only thing is, having last registered to vote in Texas' 22nd district, there isn't a real dem on the ballot (just some crazed LaRoucheite who pretends to be a Democrat). I did the only thing I could: I wrote in the name of the last dem to win the district, Nick Lampson.

Even though I have no intention of ever living in Texas again, I sure wish the dems would get their act together there. The citizens of Texas -- unlike the whackjobs who keep getting elected -- are much more reasonable and progressive than their reputation suggests.

11. K&R! And here's some advice for people in solid blue states that still want to GOTV.
:kick:

The advice: sometimes groups of local Democrats arrange bus trips or car pools to other surrounding swing states for GOTV efforts; if your state has early or absentee voting, you may be able to join these efforts and still vote.

Some ways to find out about these by contacting local Democratic/liberal activists:

http://www.illinoisdemnet.org (in Illinois)
http://democrats.meetup.com
http://www.drinkingliberally.org
Or just call your local Democratic Party organization.

15. Good advice; I think I'll carry mine to my sister's hospital room
and help her fill hers out (she was just diagnosed with cancer but is still somewhat active).

I have cancer and it's no fun. My best wishes to her, and the rest of the family.

20. She was just diagnosed last week and had first chemo yesterday.
It appears to be very early, so we are hoping for the best.

Stay strong, my friend!

21. This one is pretty undistinguished architecturally.
Close to home, though.
