I am Mary Kate Halllock's sister in law and am thoroughly disgusted with the OPD. I find it hard to believe she 'charged' at the officer(s) and 'threatened' them, resulting in 3 fireings. Gloria is/was one of the sweetest dogs...for goodness sakes, she's a lab...I continue to cry reading here and after seeing the story on this evening's news. Thank you to all fellow animal lovers <3 I hope this does not happen to anyone else in any city. Do not believe everything you read or hear...MK and her husband phoned the police dept. several times, were given no information and their phone calls were not returned until the following day.

this is out of hand and is generally dismissed because it happens in drug houses to black people. Complete stupidity on the part of law enforcement.

I am so, so sorry. This should never have happened and the officers involved should lose their jobs. I have always believed you can tell a lot about a person by how they treat animals--callousness tells, no matter what. You don't want people like that carrying guns around.
