We should be using our First Amendment rights against the Koran burner.

I don't know why everyone is focusing on trying to stop the Koran burning by force. That's the opposite of what we should do.

Every single leader in the country should be going on record excoriating the guy. That's using the power of free speech. We should be letting the world know that everyone in America thinks the Koran burner and his parishioners are nothing but plain, run-of-the-mill nuts. The last thing we want to do is clam up or try to shut him up. We need to let him be the freak he is, so we can use him to show how much we hate his kind of freak.

And politically, if we are smart, we can use this freak to chill out anti-Muslim sentiment. Petraeus says that the Koran burning will set back the Afghanistan war effort and endanger the troops. Maybe Obama should second that. The implication to the anti-Mosquers will be clear. They too are endangering the war effort and our troops.
