Ya know - I'd LOVE to be able to destroy the Social Security program.
I hate to say this, but I gotta fall with the Republicans on this one. Just think of it. NO NEED for social security. A world where the lowest wage worker makes enough to pay cash for college, keep a roof over their head, purchase the most nutritional of food, feed clothe and educate their kids, pay cash for college for the kids, pay for their medical care no matter what life brings them and through it all have the ability and smarts to save and invest enough money to fully pay for their own retirement.

I'm entirely with the Republicans on this. But I'm a little fuzzy on how the Republicans want to get us to that point because it seems to me everything they stand for moves us in the complete opposite direction. I'd really like to know from the Republicans exactly how is it that Joe Six Pack is going to save for retirement now that Republicans have spent the last 30-40 years destroying Joe Six Packs wages and benefits and now have destroyed the ability to trust the banks and investment houses.

1. Senior citizens were the largest group suffering in poverty before Social Security.
I don't want to those days to return. No one should.

If they could accomplish all you set forth I'd become a Repug!

You gave me a good chuckle.

3. Have to agree with you. Wish the Republicans would tell us
how workers are supposed to accomplish all this on the Ideal Republican Wage of 22 cents per hour.
