Anonymous $400K Donation Saves Big Walnut Music Program

SUNBURY, Ohio — The music will go on for at least another year in the Big Walnut school district, officials announced on Wednesday.

An anonymous donor gave $400,000 to the Delaware County district to continuing its music programs at the elementary, middle and high school levels, 10TV News reported.

Big Walnut had cut the program for the 2010-11 school year as a way to save money.

The donation will only get the district through this year, and officials said the music program could be dropped again if voters do not pass a 7.5-mill levy in November.
