Anger
When the right gets angry, we get more Republicans, and further right Republicans, elected to office.

When the middle gets angry, we get more of whoever isn't in power at the moment.

When the left gets angry, we get more Republicans, and further right Republicans, elected to office.

Something doesn't balance here very well.

1. We need to make an effort to vote for true liberals
In my opnion the DLC has done so much damage to the party We get Republican lites to vote for now instead of real liberals

3. Not as much damage...
...as full-on Republicans. And just wait to see the result of "Republican lites" being replaced by Tea Party Republicans.

5. That's because the right hasn't perfected the technique...
...of cutting off their nose to spite their face. Something that leftists do as a badge of honor.

:eyes:

8. I've been hoping that the Tea Party insanity...
....would be enough to drive Republicans into a dangerous (for them) divisiveness, but somehow (if current polls are to be believed) the Republicans are more than happy to rally around the Tea Party nuts, mainstreaming opinions and agendas that should land people in mental wards, while obviously oblivious independents are happy enough to shift allegiance to these crazies too, blaming Democrats for not having fixed eight years of Republican damage in two years, and not having long enough memories to remember who made the mess in the first place.

6. Works the same with DLC/'New Dems'
When they win it confirms their conservative position - so they move to the right.
When they lose it's because they weren't conservative enough - so they move to the right.

It's no win. The only option is to elect non-DLC'ers.

7. Yep.
Dems get angry about pet causes, which all too often translates into a circular firing squad.

9. Because when the Right gets angry.. they UNITE.... when the left gets angry, they DIVIDE

"I don't belong to any organized party, I'm a Democrat." -- Will Rogers

Republicans know how to get all their factions in line.

Our left-most faction, the so called "netroots", works as hard as they can to keep our factions from getting together. They accept *NO* compromise at all. Either 100% purity, or we're taking our ball and going home.

10. I consider myself a progressive...
...I want a lot of what disaffected Democrats want to, but I also want to be strategic in how I vote, not self-destructive.
