2. China will mobilize its armed forces for disaster relief.
They are quite good at it. I think it's excellent to utilize the armed forces of a nation for the welfare of the people.

4. China's armed forces are not involved in a war.
Look at it from a money point of view. They are paid whether they are helping people or just sitting on their ass. Better to use them to help people in need. It makes for good relations between the people and the government.

8. States do tend to use repressive measures.
We saw it in Tienanmen and at Kent State.
