The repubs squack about not increasing the deficit. That would be unwise. This, after their demigod Cheney said deficits dont matter. Why the disparity? Outside of the usual dittohead interest, after Fox exposure? The stimulus money there, to use, in earnest, leading up to midterms. This money, they fear, will be used to paper over bad times, to coincide with elections. This is their focus now. They will use the deficit attack in every possible form. Scott Brown called the squaredance. I havent researched lately, how much of the stimulus is left, but it is sizeable.

As I just heard from a rabid rightwinger, he is torn, hearing a bad story about a fellow wingers job searches. He didnt know whether he wanted things to turn around, for the fellow in his job search, or allow it to further fester, so the bums would all be replaced, instead of Obama being able to take any credit for anything.

Watch for Repubs to offer, that we should use stimulus funds, to extend the Bush rich tax breaks.

Deficit reduction, is the dog whistle they will use, to rob us of any wiggleroom. Bush, and every Repub since Reagan, spends like a drunken sailor, mostly on defense, but anything will do, even senior drug programs, to rob the dems of any funds they might use, to better anyones lives. Thus, creating a lifelong Dem. Downturn in the economy is a small price to pay, to make dems unable to ever shine. This is the two santa clause theory in essense. It is a perfect crime, but for one missed detail. Stimulus monies. Dry that up, and make Obama appear hapless.

What to do. They should be called on it, and a meme, equal to "weak on defense dems", should be shoved. Charts conclusively back up the theory. There are no plausible alternate theories that they might use.

Attack. Attack, Attack.
