10. I found this little blurb on your oil drum site recommendation ....

The rather clear indication from Figure A-2 is that oil spills in US waters are pretty much going away. Even if the information was put together from other sources, this is what regulators and people working for oil companies would be looking at. It would be easy to get the idea that the whole issue of oil spills really didn't need too much vigilance now. Technology improvements over the years and better regulation regarding shipping had practically eliminated oil spills, so why worry about (or spend much government money on) oil spills any more?

And if you read along you will see them debunked regularly. It's an open forum, anybody can post, and anybody does. I just read. Plus you will see the rightwing scrambling along doing whatever damage they can do. The oil gusher is bad, it's not going away soon, and the hiders are as bad as the nuts. There are plenty of both....and a lot of novices who ask some good questions. Plus the people who have drilled, along with geologists and engineers etc., and don't hide the facts about what is going on, what they don't know, and what a mess this is.

I'm sorry I didn't see the oil, I looked. I'm sure they will put up another video where it's shown better. But the conspiracy sites will rage on....beware.

12. Sorry if I came off raging about anything, although I AM outraged

by this whole disaster. The only ones we KNOW FOR SURE are lying about the damage is BP and their henchmen inside media and out. If that doesn't worry you more than some news story about oil in Lake Pontchatrain, which was practically inevitable anyway, I simply can't agree with you on who is reputable and who is not.

14. Most everyone is outraged.

BP is still trying to save money while looking like they aren't. I'm waiting for the lawsuits to get going once the oil well is shut down...I hope everybody who lost lives and livelihoods sues the knickers off of them. The media is the media...I try to read several places to get the truth...what there is of it.
