Al Gore sex investigation to be re-opened, say Portland police
Source: New York Post

An investigation into claims of sexual assault by former U.S. vice president Al Gore is to be re-opened, Portland police said Wednesday.

The move came after the massage therapist that accused Gore of mauling her in a hotel room in late 2006 was identified as Molly Hagerty.

In a statement Wednesday, police officials said: "The Portland Police Bureau has made the decision to re-open the case regarding the allegations brought forward against Mr. Al Gore.

"Consistent with our policy regarding open investigations, the Police Bureau will not be commenting on any additional specifics regarding this case at this time."

7. Evidence?
Two years later. All this can end up being is a "he said, she said" case. Interesting choice of words, "mauling." Isn't that what dogs do to small children? Leave it to that Murdoch rag to come up with the most inflammatory discription.

I wonder what the statute of limitations is on cases like this. Was she running out of time? Did a shakedown not work and it's now time for some fifteen minutes of fame?

THis is just too Paula Jones for me to take seriously.

The View had a segment on this and they read off some of the things Gore is accused of and some of it was ridiculous. It was obvious why the police didn't take it seriously the first time.

garbage charges, already found to be not worth the time of the police, but not war crimes, election fraud, 9/11 or Wall St. corruption.

The 'rule of law' is very unevenly applied in this country. Our priorities on what warrants the application of the rule of law, are stunningly hypocritical.

Anybody see any pictures of this person? Not that it matters but this BS is tiresome! Blame the Dems so that the repugs can get their way. What is America coming to? Oh, I forgot, freedom of speech and wasting time to investigate.

Don't we have better things to do, like writing to those frigging 23 Dems who are blocking the extension of unemployment benefits?

We need to identify decent Dems who are for the people, campaign for them and get them elected rather than those clowns who have been elected and are going against the people who elected them. I hate to say this, they work for us and for crying out, we elected them, about time they represent us!

End of rant.

discredit the prime political protagonist of that issue.

In the first report of this, the woman claimed she was after justice and not money she also broke three appointments with the police telling them she wanted to pursue a civil trial and not a criminal one, of course that's at odds with the "justice not money" claim.

There are some really weird inconsistencies in her story. (All emphases added below by me.)

In this article, the author writes that

The woman told investigators that she informed two friends and kept the clothes she wore that night, including her black pants with stains on them. But Portland police didn't contact any of the woman's friends, obtain the potential evidence or interview anyone at the hotel, records show.

...but in this article, she said

"I did not immediately call the police as I feared being made into a public spectacle and my reputation being destroyed," she said. "I was not sure what to tell them and was concerned my story would not be believed since there was no DNA evidence from a completed act of rape. I did not even know what to call what had happened to me."

And now she's gone back to saying she does have DNA evidence.

So which is it? Were there stains/fluids or not? It's hard not to believe she might be lying when she can't seem to keep her story straight.

62. Can anyone confirm this?
I just read on a board the massage session was schediuled for three hours. As someoen who did massge professionally, there is just no such thing as a three hour lomg massage. Perhaps ou could have a three hour session that included other treatments suh as facials, mudd packs, or the like, but pure massage??? Not a chance in hell.

A "three hour massage" at 10:30 at night at a downtown hotel is a fucking session. If she sgreed to that, she was agreeing to haev sex with him.

70. Fascinating how many 'crash and burns' we have in this thread.
Apparently, there is something REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY important here that trolls need to sign up and get tomsbtoned for, in the process of informing us about it!

That fact alone makes me think this story is a James O'Keefe style FOX NEWS creation.
