About Morning Joes remarks about the Boner
wherein he basically calls the boner a drunk...

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/30/joe-scarborough-john-boeh_n_630659.html#comments

It seems to me that this is the GOP's attempt at damage control, they have to know they blew it big time. So they got their fax machine going and called in a marker with Dead Intern, who makes the boner out to be a confused drunk, so as to dilute his "work till your 70" and "use social security to pay for our wars" remarks. This is just damage control for boner's boner. IMHO, but then I'm jaded. :)

1. Don't doubt it at all. Washington is Alkie central.
So many of them congress critters are out of touch with how real people live.

3. It could just be damage control, but with Boehner, how can we tell?
He sounds half plastered most of the time.
Just like mush mouth Dick Armey.

the boner gets real mad at the dems...

Notice he says nothing to the media giant (sarcasm) who outed him as a drunk on national cable tv.

on edit, I think the national GOP realizes that he and they screwed up, but bad.

6. He also jumped all over the republican attack on Thourgood Marshall.
He made fun of republicans for being stupid enough to go after him in an election year. It was a political point not an ethical point.

7. Does anyone see what I see? Corporate tv has been given directions - they will have a role, as
usual. They will help carry off a regime change. Boehner has been 'thumbed down' and the king's men (the guys at the top of the networks and papers) have swung into action.

10. I totally agree this had to be, at least, somewhat orchestrated

Think about it, a respected (not by me) media head called a leader in HIS party a lazy drunk, so to speak, on national tv, no less, just after he makes some of the most damaging remarks ever.....The messenger must be discredited. Its Republican theater, at its best!

9. Hmm, a defense of the GOP: that their great leader is a drunk and doesn't work hard.
All I can say is: let's have more such defenses of the GOP!
