Does anyone ever ask natural gas promoter T. Boone Pickens about Fracturing?
Edited on Tue Jun-29-10 03:46 PM by NNN0LHI
I have seen him on TV twice now today and it seems logical to ask his opinion of the practice of Fracturing to obtain natural gas seeing he is in the business and has spent millions promoting it. Is he for or against Fracturing? Anyone know?

He is on Ratigans show now and the question never comes up. Why is that?

1. No, they all just worship at his feet and cling to his every word
instead of doing their job and question him. Worthless and pathetic interviewers.

3. Thom Hartmann often says that big-name guests won't return if asked tough questions.
That gives 'em the upper hand.

I believe Pickens qualifies as "too big to ask."

4. Guess we won't be seeing him on any real news shows like KO or Rachel then?
Morning Joe and Dylan Ratigan is about the only shows we will see him on. Because they play the game well.

That alone says a lot.

5. can you explain what fracturing is?
I guess I could google it, but it seems everyone else knows what this is but me.

and if I do google it, who should I believe?

6. Injecting poisons into the ground and our waterways in order to extract natural gas.
I don't know exactly what it is, but that's the result of it.

13. Today he was on MSNBC twice without being asked about it
Once on Morning Joe and the other time on Dylan Ratigan's show. Not one hard question on either show. Just a lot of ass kissing by the shows hosts.

10. Fracturing
Is injecting a burst of high pressure fluid (like salt water, steam, live steam, etc) into an oil bearing formation. The oil is NOT one big pool, but is distributed a porous rock formation.

The reverberations of the high pressure injection "fractures" some of the formation, thereby liberating the product. It is also used to increase recovery of salt, potash, etc.

11. What are the poisons?
It's obvious that you don't know exactly, or even approximately, what it is.

12. If its that obvious to you that must mean you know what the poisons are they are using
Why don't you just tell us what they are instead of playing cat and mouse?

15. I know that 2-BA (2-butoxyethanol) is going to be the one to take down this under regulated practice
It's one of the toxins found in the Wyoming drinking water which is used in hydraulic fracturing. There is no other environmental or industrial way for it to have gotten into the water supply there.

This time they can't weasel out of it by saying it came from some place else.
