Millions believe voting is their civic and patriotic duty. It is the democratic way. But is it God’s way? Christ’s gospel is about government. If He were here today, would He vote? Would His servants participate in the politics of this world? Does His Church practice voting—to decide doctrine, or select board members and leaders? Are God’s leaders chosen by men’s ballots? Here is the Bible teaching on voting, made plain!
BY DAVID C. PACK
Jesus Christ brought a message about government. Everywhere He went, He preached—He announced—the coming of the kingdom of God. He explained that it would be a world-ruling government that would smash and replace all the governments of men.
You may have supposed that the governments of modern nations generally reflect God’s way. This is almost everyone’s assumption. Yet, while God does, in fact, establish and remove nations, this is not His world! This is why Christ foretold the arrival of a supergovernment to replace the confused, inefficient and ineffective governments of men, so powerless to solve any of the world’s biggest problems.

Christians participating in the governments of Satan’s world, through voting, military service or activism in social causes, is far more serious than most realize. It is disloyalty—a form of spiritual fornication and spiritual treason—to the government of God and His complete authority over a Christian’s life.
At the center of the gospel of the kingdom of God is a message about God’s soon-coming, hierarchical government. The followers of Jesus Christ practice this now. Any church that participates in the democratic politics of this world or elects its leaders and makes other decisions by voting is not a house built by God!Not sure if these people are dominionists or what, but there sure are a lot of fundie/end times ads. I wonder why it is that such advertisers would be so plentiful on a progressive board. I realize that DU doesn't choose what ads appear, but through what formula does Google post these ads to various websites? Keywords? Shouldn't they at least be vaguely in line with the interests of the readers of the website?
By the way, for the record, I would have to come down on the side that says - Christians who believe in 19th century tent-revival tales like "The Rapture" should NOT vote.
