http://www.cnn.com/video/#/video/us/2010/06/22/id.vets.car.vandalized.KXLY?hpt=T2

A vandal leaves scratches and an insulting note on a veteran's car for not being handicapped enough. KXLY reports.

2. There are people who abuse the handicap tag - or who have stolen one -
but whenever I see someone who seems to be 'too mobile' for the parking place I stop to consider that this might be that person's one good day in the past six months. I don't automatically assume he's a cheat.

I've had a bad back for 30 years and at times I can hardly walk, but I haven't yet applied for a handicap tag - my good days still far outnumber my bad days. But I can imagine...

When did we become such an uncharitable people?

4. We finally talked my mom into getting a tag
last summer, when she turned 85. She's the kind of person who parks in the far-away parking spots at church, to "save the close spots for the old folks".

We have finally convinced her, after a hip replacement, that she now qualifies as one of the old folks. Of course, she only uses the handicapped spots if she's having a bad day!

When I grow up (if I grow up), I want to be my mom.

3. May also have been jealous that he drives a Porsche and they don't.
Either way, what a douchebag to do that. Just because someone is "mobile" doesn't mean they don't have a handicap deserving of a parking tag.

5. Without irony I am betting dollars to donuts the vandal was a handicapped person themselves.
After all if you don't park in the handicap space how likely is it you even pay attention to those who do. Let alone get angry over it.

My guess is the combination of it being a nice sports car and taking a handicap space from a disabled person who felt "more deserving" is the crux of the matter

6. I would bet on the vandal being more
of a self righteous twit, then handicapped.

7. Well, after all, if he can drive, he's obviously too mobile, so doesn't deserve a handicapped tag.
Hmm .............. there's a problem somewhere there.

But some disabilities are somewhat invisible, adding to the troubles of those so disabled.
