Woman sets fire to get out of work early

A Pasco County woman has been sentenced to nine months in jail for starting a fire at her former job so she could leave work early.

A judge sentenced 39-year-old Michelle Perrino Monday after she pleaded guilty to criminal mischief. She must also pay $4,800 in restitution for damage to the office.

Perrino was working at the Bayonet Point Oxygen Clinic in Port Richey in May 2009 when someone set fire to a file cabinet. Perrino quit her job as a customer service representative a few days later.

I have to admit I have conteplated this type of action in the past myself... I just never had the sheer stupidity (or guts) to follow through.

I guess I know where there is one new job opening in America.

Protip: When calling in a bomb threat to get your wingman the night off, don't do it from the phone booth that's located right outside the guard's shack.
