Darryl Worley propagates that Obama is responsible for the 2008 TARP bailout!
Son of a B***H! And I mean that literally!

http://www.the9513.com/darryl-worley-keep-the-change/

"It’s not the politics of the particular issue that are cause for unrest here, but the way in which Worley consciously twists the truth in order to support his central theme. It would be one thing if this song was a protest against what Worley sees as out-of-control government and spending, but it’s not; this song is about how liberalism is bad for the country. That’s why the whole lyric is tied together with the slam-dunk hook of “keep the change,” a direct rebuttal to the President’s core message."

"WHILE HE'S BAILING OUT THOSE SINKING SHIPS AND DROWNING THE LITTLE MAN

CHORUS:

I WATCH THE NEWS AND HAVE TO WONDER IF THIS COUNTRY'S GOING CRAZY

TALKIN' BOUT HOW MUCH THEY LOVE IT HERE BUT HOW THEY WANNA REARRANGE IT

I'M JUST YOUR AVERAGE JOE AND THAT MAKES ME SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW

THERE'S A BUNCH OF US OUT HERE THAT FEEL THE SAME

Find More lyrics at www.sweetslyrics.com
GONNA KEEP OUR GOD, OUR FREEDOM, A LITTLE MONEY IN THE BANK

Y'ALL CAN KEEP THE CHANGE"

That last line is a direct reference to the 2008 campaign.

INBRED! :puke:

3. He's the idiot who recorded the pro-Iraq War song "Have You Forgotten"
Which mentioned 9/11 and rhymed Forgotten and Bin Laden.

He seems to terminally not understand history or current events.

6. Wow. Most trolls at least pretend to be subtle!
They eventually fail, of course, but that's because they're stupid. Yet curiously, they're still smarter than you, because they frequently get beyond one post. Bye, now!

7. What Do You Get When You Play Country Music Backwards?
You get your wife, your house, and your dog back.

Thank you, Thank you! I'm here all week! Don't forget to buy the waitresses and tip the drinks!

Oh, and enjoy your pizza.

9. What do you think? Should we keep it around for a while, or go ahead and put it out of its misery?

8. What a load of shit.
He released "Have You Forgotten?" at the height of the run up to the Iraq War. It's intentionally vague about the purpose of the song but it starts with the line "I hear people saying we don't need this war". Really? So many people at the time were against the war in Afghanistan that it merited a song? Oh, and I guess there were a ton of people telling him to "Don't you tell me not to worry about bin Laden" too.

The lyrics to "Keep the Change" read like a collection of teabagger signs. Darryl Worley knows his target audience and writes songs for it, then tries to act coy when people point out that's what he's doing. It's insulting to most people's intelligence, but then again so is country music as a whole.

10. Iraq War started in 2003, Afghanistan in 2001.
Have you forgotten was released in April 2003, the war started in March. And it does rhyme forgotten and Bin Laden. Maybe he was addressing Bush and telling him to get out of Iraq and get back to Afghanistan? I doubt it. I'll just call it what it is - a cheap ploy to sell records based on jingoistic fervor. Kind of like Toby Keith's "Angry American."

11. This piece of shit isn't even a country singer, he's a right wing propagandist.
When a "singer" makes his television debut on FAUX Noise, as this asshole did, you know that music is not their primary reason for existence. At least Toby Keith had a record out before he kissed Chimpy's ass. Worley can't make that claim. He launched his "career" on Hannity's show. Same with that dumb little twit Sara Freeperchick (sorry, forget her last name) who literally can't sing a note live.

Supposedly.

15. Sure he is.
That's why he attacked the Dixie Chicks because they were embarrassed that Chimpy pretended to be from Texas. One would think that Oklahoma is close enough to Texas that Toby himself (if he were a Democrat) would have been embarrassed.

Kinda like the shit in Arizona embarrasses the Hell out of me, even though I haven't actually set foot in the state since 2003.

22. Keith was the worst critic of the Chicks
Toby Keith is partly responsible for the destruction of the Dixie Chicks just because they said they were embarrassed by GWB.
If he is claiming to be an Obama supporter I think it is just to get fans among the voters.

I cannot stand the fact that he makes money off many "patriotic " songs, but he never served. He boasts that his father served, So did mine, but I've never used that to make money.
He does spend time with the troops though. I will give him that.

13. We use to have protest songs in the 60's. Why doesn't the left have protest songs anymore.
Don't tell me, we can do anything because the MSM will not play them.

19. My band released a 22 song CD about two years ago...
...written and recorded during the Bush/Cheney regime, with titles like "No Power? No Peace!," "Hello Baghdad," "Ode to Mother Nature/Trash the Environment," "Oil on Mars," "Political Suicide," "The Battle of Seattle," "Death Penalty For Pot," "Attack of the Evildoers/Let's Retaliate," "Hell to The Chief," "Feeding Tube," "DubyaMD," and "We Didin't Put Out the Fire/Eulogy," but it's very difficult to get even "liberals" to listen to it, unfortunately.

The PR company I hired to promote it to radio/print media told me they were encountering resistance to the CD because of it political content, though they gladly took my money and then did nothing to push it to even possibly sympathetic broadcast outlets such as Pacifica, or the liberal/progressive media in general.

It was entered in the first round of voting for The 50th (or 51st?) Grammy Awards, though.

Link -- http://www.benedictarnoldandthetraitors.com/audio/ny -- there are some free mp3s there, along with a link to the animated music video for the song "Death Penalty For Pot," in case anyone is interested.

21. I detest his music
I love country music and I refuse to listen the crap this jerk puts out. That "have you forgotten?" song made me want to rip his face out of the radio. I think I will see if he has a website and leave him a message about what it means to be an American.

26. Who is Darryl Worley?
A no talent, semi-literate rw country "singer" who wrote a song which claims Iraq was responsible for 9/11.
If you look up hack in the dictionary, as the first entry is Toby Keith's photo, the second is Worley's.
