Rumfeld gets the 2007 Statesmanship Award. WTF?.

I read about this a few days ago and I couldn't believe it. Why isn't this war criminal behind bars? Everything is upside down. This treasonous, rat bastard is the recipient of a Statesmanship Award? He is nothing but a murdering thug. A criminal. Hell, this asshole declared war on the American people a long time ago. Aspartame anyone? His audacity is mindboggling.

I'm obviously peeved over this one. Grrrrrrrrr...:grr: I can't be the only one.

"As you know, you have to go to war with the Army you have, not the Army you want," Rumsfeld said.

Statesman, my ass!

5. Answering my own question. The Claremont Institute is a RW group.
http://www.claremont.org/about/pageID.1/default.asp

The mission of the Claremont Institute is to restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful, preeminent authority in our national life.

The Claremont Institute finds the answers to America's problems in the principles on which our nation was founded. These principles are expressed most eloquently in the Declaration of Independence, which proclaims that "all men are created equal and are endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights...."

To recover the founding principles in our political life means recovering a limited and accountable government that respects private property, promotes stable family life, and maintains a strong defense.

10. This group trashes the claim of their mission.
"The mission of the Claremont Institute is to restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful, preeminent authority in our national life."

They honor a man that has trashed everything they claim to stand for.

14. Winston Churchill is turning over in his grave.
To have an annual dinner in honor of him, and give an award to Rummy?

Why, there is no comparison between the two. Churchill was a brilliant statesman. Rummy? Not so brilliant, and not really a statesman.

Insulting.
