I posted this before, but it still might be of interest.

The site has an interactive chart that you can manipulate to put different people or groups in the center and look at their ties.

If you right click on the boxes, you can find out specific info about it. Everybody is connected to everybody, and has some kind of dog in this fight.

This should explain why doing anything to BP is close to impossible without screaming from everywhere.
