Florida races have the potential to be the nastiest ever-let the games begin!
:popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn::popcorn:

Especially in the US Senate race and in the Governor's race, as the Tea Party is going up against the entrenched GOP in the primary. In the US Senate Race, Marco "I"ll Charge That" Rubio is up against Charlie Crist. Crist, of course, is the blackballed GOP Governor turned independent. When Crist dared to vote against the FRC, the Florida Repugnant Cabal threw him under the bus, then every GOP leader from here to Timbuktu got in and backed the bus back over him a couple of times. This one will be interesting, as the GOP attacks Crist, who was their idol just a few short years ago. Rubio appears to be made of Teflon, as he's so far been able to shake off any connection to the credit card scandal. Even though he paid back some $1,600 in personal expenses, he's claimed there was no wrongdoing, and apparently no one is interested in the full story. I don't practice law anymore, but usually when someone coughs up a large sum of money, there's something going on.

In the race for Governor, Bill "Vanilla" McCollum is up against political newcomer Rick "I'm Just a Businessman like you" Scott. McCollum is the current Attorney General with the backing of Lord Jeb Bush and FRC, but the guy has less charisma than a corpse. Scott, on the otherhand, is quite charismatic and is running a gazillion commercials claiming to be just an ordinary bussinessman concerned about jobs. Well, as the commercial goes-not exactly! I don't know a lot of businessmen that claim a net worth of nine figures. Former partner of shrub himself in his Texas days, Scott built the Columbia Healthcare empire, and then somehow slid out the back door when Columbia was snared in the biggest medicare fraud scandal in history. When asked about how this might effect his chances, he made no apologies and even had the balls to brag about how big and successful the company was, as if that's all that matters.

I noticed today that Rick Scott signs are popping up in the neighborhood of multi-million dollar homes here in Naples, which isn't surprising, as he call this home. You can also thank Rick Scott for helping to derail and essentially defeat the healthcare bill, or at least one of substance. He spent millions and used the same folks as the swiftboaters. So this will pit the Tea Party Nuts against the GOP Thieves in the primary, so it's sure to be a crowd pleaser. Alex Sink is the Democratic candidate, but she has a lot of ground to make up, if she's gonna make a real race of it. I sure hope so. Go Alex!

In the South Florida Congressional race, Kendrick Meek is now challenged by another gazillionare Jeff Greene.
Greene has already put his waders on and entered the muck, as he started running this very cute and polished ad.
If there is any truth to the information in the ad, it does not bode well for Meek. Here's the Greene ad as a good example of what we're already seeing and I'm sure it will get worse.

1. It might be sick of me to say, but I'm enjoying the McCollum/Scott slugfest.
Definitely overshadowing the Rubio/Crist fight right now.

2. They're just gettting started too
Since Scott is buddies with the swiftboaters, you can only imagine what we'll see.

Now that the former GOP chairman was just arrested on 5 felony counts, the Scott
group has some new fresh meat.
