Stop the BP bailout. Tell the Senate it's time to Hold BP Accountable.
Just found this in my email. I signed it and want to help spread the word around.

Sign our petition to the Senate: Eliminate the $75 million cap and make BP pay for ALL of its damages.

Taxpayers won't bail out another reckless corporation. BP must pay for everything.

Sign our petition to the Senate to eliminate the liability cap and hold BP completely responsible.

BP wants you to foot the bill for their oil disaster.

They want you to take care of the thousands of fishermen whose businesses have been destroyed, pay to clean the growing number of animals smothered in oil and pay to clean up the miles and miles of ruined beach and marshland on the Gulf Coast.

But there's just no way taxpayers are going to bailout another reckless corporate giant. BP must be forced to assume total responsibility for their mess.

When a company like BP conducts reckless projects that destroy our environment and our communities, they should assume full liability for their actions and be held financially responsible for paying any damages.

The current liability cap on companies who pose such a threat to our collective safety and livelihood ultimately puts taxpayers on the hook for cleaning up someone elses mess.

We, the undersigned, demand the Senate eliminate the liability cap and force companies to pay for their disasters in full. Taxpayers cannot be expected to bailout another irresponsible corporate giant. We need accountability in business now.

Add your name to our petition now and take a stand for greater accountability. We'll deliver the signatures to the Senate next week.

BP wants you to foot the bill for their oil disaster. If we don't act quickly, BP will only have to pay the first $75 million in cleanup and damages. I can't imagine some of the people whom I've met paying to clean up the very same oil that cost them everything.

The Senate is considering doing away with the liability cap for companies like BP whose irresponsibility destroys American livelihoods. This will ensure BP is held accountable for any and all damages that result from this tragedy.

Join us in signing our petition to the Senate, demanding they eliminate the liability cap and make BP pay every penny.

Tell the Senate you don't want your tax dollars bailing out BP. Sign our petition to the Senate to eliminate the liability cap for big oil companies.

Here in Louisiana, I've witnessed first hand that oil has begun to make its way ashore. I've picked up oil in my hands. Marshes and estuaries are drenched in toxic oil and dispersants. Workers I've talked to in the fishing and tourism industries tell me they are helpless as they watch their entire lives evaporate.

To think that any of the victims of this tragedy would be forced to bear the financial responsibility of this disaster is beyond unjust. It's yet another example of our irresponsible corporations getting away with privatizing their profits and socializing the losses, leaving the rest of us to pick up the pieces.

If we allow our government to maintain the liability cap on companies that destroy American lives and property, BP gets away with only having to pay the first $75 million in damages. It's time to end this madness and hold BP accountable for every last dime.

Take a stand against yet another corporate bailout. Sign out petition to the Senate to eliminate the liability cap and make BP pay in full for their crime.

It's time to let the free market these big corporations have always defended run its course. Together we can make sure BP doesn't leave the bill with us.

1. BP doesn't need a bailout
BP needs to have its assets seized. That money is what should be used for clean up.

Bail out my ass.
